Who IS Jake Weber, Anyway??
Jake Weber is the most incredible actor to come onto the big screen today.
He has appeared in countless movies, plays, and television shows. He has
brought a new meaning to the world of acting, and will forever be remembered
in his performances.
You might have seen Jake Weber as the hot-headed, diabolical jerk otherwise
known as Drew in Meet Joe Black(1998). Or maybe you've
seen Jake as the shy, yet somewhat self conscious gynocologist (Dr. Beverly
Kirk) in Cherry(1999). Perhaps you've even gotten the
chance to watch him play the quiet and intelligent commander a.k.a.
Lieutenant Hirsch in his latest feature U-571(2000). But
wherever you've seen him, he's always busy making an outstanding performance
in whatever movie or television show he is in.
Personal Background
Jake Weber was born on March 19, 196
? in London, England. Jake Weber attended Middlebury College in Vermont, where he majored in English Literature and Political Science, graduating cum laude with a BA. He attended the Julliard School, from which he graduated in 1991, and also studied at Russia's famed Moscow Art Theater. His age is unknown, but probably he's in his early- to mid-thirties. Jake seems to have spent many years in Great Britain, which perhaps explains his accent--an intriguing mixture of British and New England-ese. In an endearing quirk, when playing a 'regular American guy,' he sometimes tends to overcompensate for his classical training by affecting a slightly exaggerated New York accent.
As of April 2000, Jake is a newlywed! Information about his wife is unknown, but we do know that he's been linked to Nora Ariffin, an actress (who co-starred with Jake in the film "Skin Art") for several years. The two lived together for some time in Manhattan.
